Drush 7 Installation using composer to manage a Drupal 7 website in cPanel

composer on shared hosting

In this video I will show you how to install drush using composer to manage a drupal 7 website hosted in cpanel.

Requirement:
– You need to have shell access to your cpanel account / jail shell is enough
– You need to have composer install in your cPanel

In this video, I use the “Terminal” functionality in cpanel, if you don’t have this, you may need to contact your web hosting.

Command:

composer global require drush/drush:7.*

sed -i ‘1i export PATH=”$HOME/vendor/bin:$PATH”‘ $HOME/.bashrc

source ~/.bashrc
